Rampage with Julie Mac and the Sharpies on a grouse adventure as they fight, kick and punch through their turbulent teenage years on the unsuspecting streets of 1970s Melbourne. It was a time when bolting from the cops, stooging the ticket inspectors, drinking, spewing, pashing and rooting were all in a nights work for this unique Australian sub-culture.
Melbourne’s teenage Sharpies were ahead of their time. They used mateship, fashion, music and at times, violence to challenge absolute authority and resist corporal punishment.
Sharpies were children. Children, that raged and rebelled against the rigid class, gender, racial and ableist norms of the 1970s.
Kids that didn’t give a fuck.
